Self-defence and High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) are leading the way with fitness enthusiasts this year. And pairing self-defence with HIIT = Fight-style HIIT.

Intimidating and Scary?

For those that may have the wrong idea and visualise hyper-masculine strikes to the face, nose bleeds and harum-scarum stuff. You can relax. That’s not what TOTALFIGHTER fit is about.

My Fight-Style training is toning and losing body fat, developing super-cardio and  improving your confidence and self-defence skills. I’ve touched on the benefits here and now let’s further explore why I’m hooked and why you will be too…

HIIT: Good News for you… No Need to Train Daily

High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) combines periods of intense bursts of effort with periods of less intense moves or complete rest in-between.

HIIT doesn’t need to be done daily.

Latest research reveals we can attain great fitness benefits in a very short amount of time. So we don’t need to be training for hours upon hours. You can be a casual practitioner (like me) and reap the benefits. That’s a big plus for many of us where life has become a race against the clock.

Life has a knack of surprising us with both good and bad. And if you’ve trained purposefully and accrued self-defence skills and fitness, you’ll be calmer and better equipped if you happen to dance with the devil in the pale moonlight.
